Buddies Who Brunch

I’m pleased to report that M is making great progress following her surgery and is well enough to have gone away to the Lakes for the weekend with a couple of her friends ahead of receiving her pathology results next week. This will be a massive ‘crunch day’ for her and it’s something we’re both extremely anxious about, so it’s great for her to have the opportunity to get away from it all temporarily.

I’ve also taken the chance to head home for the weekend and to see a couple of friends myself.

And what could be better than to meet my great pal Sarah and her husband Steve for a hearty brunch at Lovelock’s this morning?!

As always, we had much to discuss, and it was a lot of fun to see them both. It turned out that today marked seven years since Sarah Lovelock www.blipfoto.com/entry/2446403525677156429 got the keys to her first café and it seemed fitting that I should’ve visited her current location with Sarah today as Lovelock’s has practically been our mutual home-away-from-home throughout these last seven years, and has seen us through many an up and down.

As usual, the musical selection today was as good as the food and drink, and I believe I heard The Roches tucked away on the playlist. So, what better to play you as today’s musical selection than the stone cold classic ‘Hammond Song’? https://youtu.be/9e3sqtoRG-Y
