Daffodils outside and in.

Today is Mothering Sunday where we celebrate the ‘Mother Church’ and also, in the UK, combine it with Mother’s Day a much more commercial event. 

Here you can see our village church with its display of daffodils. At the end of today’s service we were all given a bunch of daffodils, it was very inclusive and no one was left out on the basis that we were all someone’s children!  It was a good time to remember our mothers even if they are no longer with us.

Grace sent me a wonderful 2.5 minute video compilation of photographs of us together and me with the girls. It was set to music and very special.

Later son Alex, who normally comes for tea here on a Sunday, is taking me ( and Chris) out for tea. A very nice Sunday.
