Chitty chitty bang bang sitzprobe

I was involved with one of these today - it means a rehearsal where the singers sing with the orchestra with the intention of integrating the two groups.  It's all coming together, but some of the score feels very fast and furious and I'm still getting lost in places.

Today is also Mothers Day, in the UK. I received three lovely cards, and flowers and when I retuned from the rehearsal Martin and Ben had prepared a delicious roast dinner.  I've spent the rest of the afternoon chatting on the phone to my two absent boys, James and Sam.  This time last year it was Ben that was absent.
