Mbweni

An unusual hotel-cum-ruins is a stone’s throw from Kate’s place. I thought it must be an unspeakable former slave-trading station but Mbweni is actually the shell of a 19th century mission school for the children of freed slaves. The realisation made drinking a cocktail at the adjacent hotel more acceptable.
