Happy Equinox! Another mild and damp night, with sixty-two Common Toads counted around half past nine last night - a garden record. They were clearly making the most of the favourable conditions.


I spent most of the day answering emails and packing for Cyprus. There was a slight panic when I realised I'd forgotten the combination code for my suitcase - we spent quite a long time trying all the possible combinations but ended up resorting to a bit of brute force. I've now bought a new padlock!
