Yotelair

After an early evening meal it was finally time to set off for Cyprus, returning after an absence of eight years. The Thameslink train was empty at Peterborough, and never became very busy -the direct link from Peterborough to Gatwick is convenient but long.

I arrived at Gatwick South terminal around 10 p.m. and eventually found the very understated entrance to Yotelair, where I was going to spend the night. The Japanese style pods have everything you need for an overnight stay, but are probably not a good idea if you're claustrophobic. I hadn't really expected to sleep much, but the cabin bed was surprisingly comfortable, the room was very quiet and I soon drifted off...
