Lone Tree of Malham Ings
Tuesday 21st March 2023
I got some work done this morning while it was raining and then went out after lunch to Gordale Scar. I walked to the waterfall and spent some photography time there. The early afternoon sun soon started to fade again and the clouds rolled in. I moved on to the lone tree of Malham Ings, on the way up to Malham Tarn. I had visited the other week but it was covered in mist at the time.
I walked over to the tree and chose one of the gaps between the stone to stand in. It was a bit windy and I was aware of the rain beginning to come over the hills, it was with me within five minutes so I didn't spend long on the pavement. It's somewhere I would like to return and explore a bit more. As I turned to leave, I saw some sheep's wool in the gap I had chosen, out of all the gaps available. When I bent down to look at it, I was amazed at its shape, I didn't make this - see extra.
Returning back to base I've been processing my photos while watching three photography webinars. They've been so good.
