Settled for the night

Quite a busy day as it turned out. Even so, I had time to read a paper proposing much the same as the conclusions I have reached after a non-systematic review of similar evidence.

After getting back home I changed and had a brisk walk with the Pentax. Heard many Tui and saw not a single one. The extra is a shot of a shrub I passed. Not long after getting back (before I had gone inside) I saw a Kereru high in a tree; behind leaves and twigs. Turned and there was this one; in a different tree, and touched by a shaft of sunlight.
