Dealing with the aftermath
Two more new admissions needed assessment this morning. One proudly stated that he has had all three shots, and commented that he had done so to help protect the old people (in the whanau/family) as much as for himself.
At lunchtime I walked across Grafton Bridge to check on the Memorial Wall. It still shows the painting of ZZ Topp's bass player; I was hoping for a portrait of Meatloaf.
My blip is of a small part of the work that has had to be done around the city dealing with the aftermath of the severe storm which hit Auckland yesterday morning. The size of the branch or perhaps secondary trunk from a big tree in the Grafton Cemetry, is impressive. The young woman wielding the chain saw was trimming off what could be mulched instantly by a large mulcher towed by one of their trucks. It would have been fun to watch them tidy up, but I had an appointment back at the Unit.
