Moon

Despite a blue sky late afternoon, the moon rose bright and clear. I took this shot at about 7:30pm and, other than cropping a lot more sky off, have done nothing to the picture.

Since the moon has no natural light of its own all that illumination is from the sun. Have you ever wondered how much more light there must be from our sun that goes out and past ourselves and the moon without ever being seen by us?What extravagance!
