Splashes .....

.... and of colour rather than rain in the garden. 

This is one of eight hyacinth bulbs I planted in a container three years ago. It is good to see it and the others making a re-appearance.  Others bulbs which I planted last year are also sprouting and hopefully will produce blooms soon. 

In today's other gardening news, I am also pleased that rhubarb crowns from a friend which  I planted last year seem to have taken.  Daffodils are also showing signs of coming to life. 

I have a quiet-ish weekend coming up and so have no excuses for not spending time in the garden, getting on with tidying and preparing for later in the spring.
