Bailbrook wild flowers

We woke to blue sky and sunshine, what a lovely change after all that rain yesterday.

We fed the girls last night and got them to bed taking care as Jude was lying on the sofa when we arrived as she had an ‘owie’ on her arm where she got stuck in a gate. Extra. She seemed fine this morning and was happy with a plaster on it.

After everyone left for work/ school/ nursery this morning Chris and I walked into Bath. Saw my first Celandines on the verges along the way and a few other sights of our visit are recorded in the collage extra including a display of Lego in one of the windows and a telephone box full of blooming plants.

We had coffee at Landrace in Walcot Street. The shot of the Walcot buildings in the sun contrasts well with the dark sky behind ( bottom left).

Looked around a few few shops including the Apple Store with a query about my new phone ( quickly sorted) before getting the bus back just as a few drops of rain fell. It was still raining when we got off the bus at Bailbrook House but the sun was soon out again highlighting the lovely verges of wild primroses, celandine and wild violets along both sides of the drive. (We chose this way as it is slightly less steep than walking up from Larkhall village) A good flower Friday Blip.

At 3.00pm we picked Eda up from school, just waiting now for Jude to come back from nursery with daddy. Grace will stay at school this evening for the third and final performance of Matilda tonight.

So job nearly successfully done.
