I’m not gonna lie but this photo is from yesterday

I had such a great day yesterday that I want to prolong it. This is my second oldest grandchild and because there are no tv or screens in her home, she relishes watching cartoons at her Nana’s abode. Before this we had painted, made moulds of papier mache, read some poems, danced and sang, made popcorn and most especially potted 5 tomato plants in honour of her grandad (my husband) who she never got to meet. She asked my son where was her grandad and my son told her gently and lovingly that he was dead. And had gone to another place.

I love this gentle honesty. Children respect that.

They have just gone back to Tipperary and my house is ‘a ri ra agus a ruaille buaille’
