Positive!!!!
This morning Ann woke up feeling better than she's felt all week so she took me for a lovely walk and then she said, 'Trixie, I'm going out for lunch so Joe & Kirsty are going to take you for your afternoon walk'.
…...............And then she did a COVID test. Now bearing in mind, she's been feeling under the weather all week (& thought she was dying on Friday OK slight exaggeration) and has done four tests between last Sunday and yesterday and all were negative ..................... ordinarily she would just have assumed she were OK and not bothered testing any more. However as one of the friends she was going out for lunch with is a vulnerable 82 year old, she thought she'd do one more test just to be on the safe side.
Positive!!!!
This is extremely annoying for a variety of reasons:
She missed a very nice lunch at the Sheraton Hotel. She knows it was lovely because her friend's sent her photos of what she was missing.
She's pretty sure she must have been infectious last week when she thought she had a cold/flu (and was in contact with loads of people) so chances are, she's not infectious any more.
She's got to stay off work for 5 days and as she was supposed to be working Mon & Tues and is on a zero hour contract, that's two days she won't get paid for.
She's had to cancel all her social engagements until Friday.
It all just seems a little too much too late. Ie, if she'd tested positive last Sunday, she would happily have stayed home for 5 days because it was a real struggle to go to work and do my walks, but she did it because she didn't have an option not to do it and she thought she just had a bad cold.
Anyway, Ann says we can go off and have some adventures together. Our weather app is telling us it's going to be lovely and sunny tomorrow so we might have a day out in either North Berwick or Haddington and go for a big long walk.
Oh, and Joe and Kirsty took me out this afternoon for a walk in the Hermitage. Don't I look lovely posing in all the wild garlic? They said I'd been a very good girl but they always say that. Lol!
Day 1 of self-isolation almost over. Ann wasn't intending going out this evening anyway, so we'll just do our normal Sunday evening thing?!
