Mom is 97 today.

Drove to Kamloops today to celebrate my Mom's 97 birthday...and yes...she managed to beat me again in 500 Rummy.


The trip was sunny and warm..15C. Mom was in very good spirits.  I picked up some of her favourite Chinese food for lunch...she cracked me up when she was in the middle of her meal when she said, ' I am so lucky I have a big mouth'...her sense of humour is still there...and I love it. Her memory is still strong...however, her big toe is still a bit of a problem with proper circulation being an issue.


Hard to say goodbye...as I never know when it will be the last time that I might see her...
