Sunshine Girl

Ida & Arlo slept till 7.40am today. For those of you who remember the 5am PIT-OF-THE-NIGHT Blips I'm sure you can imagine how utterly delighted we are about this recent turn of events.

At 9am Bry brought me a cup of coffee in bed.

At 10.20am Arlo and I discussed moving back to Edinburgh. I asked him if he'd like to do that and he said 'No way. I really love it here'.

At 10.30am we met Jenni & Hamish on the beach. Hamish & Arlo buried themselves in the sand, threw shells in the sea and chased away the seagulls eyeing up the sandwiches. As you can see, Ida conquered her fear of walking on the sand in bare feet and even dipped her tootsies in the water.

At 11.30am Jenni & Hamish departed and plans were made for both families to get together for some hangs later in the week.

At 12 o'clock Arlo bumped into a friend (Jay) from nursery who's Mum invited him for his birthday tea tomorrow night. Both boys zoomed about the water shooters and got drenched whilst laughing like maniacs.

At 1pm Arlo went off to nursery and Ida and I came back to the house only to discover I'd locked us out. With no phone. And no money. A nice lady stopped us to ask what we were looking for and offered her phone to make some emergency calls.

At 1.30pm Bry drove past us as we were looking for the keys on the street and gave me his set of keys.

At 2pm Ida went for a nap, giving me time to sit at the window watching the sparkling sea from my window with a coffee and allowing me time to write my assignment and blip.

I think it's safe to say we're settling in.
