Charity
A horribly wet and windy morning. The spaniel and I took shelter for a short while in the porch of St Mary's church Streatley where a blue plaque announces that, in 1864, Lewis Carroll preached here. I had a quick look inside where there were several very fine stained glass windows by James Powell & Sons. I particularly liked the detail of the bread and raffia basket in this window from 1891 depicting a woman distributing charity.
