Budding

My Hydrangea Petiolaris is feeling full of the joy of spring despite the drizzle and greyness of the day.
I wandered the highways and byways this morning but saw no blip to match the sheer exuberance of this recumbent bud awaiting its full flowering.

I’ve spent far too long today force reading  the latest library book which I would like to finish before leaving for a few days dog sitting in Yorkshire. I’m beginning to make inroads  but because the sun has now decided to come out from behind the clouds I may have to call a halt for the meantime and go out and enjoy it.
