A poppet

Only 12 weeks old and so friendly. He was trying to chat up the pigeons who were more interested in fighting with one another.

We went into Lincoln to do ‘things’ today. We normally tie them in with our hair appointments, but they are not until next week and there is so much to do at present. We did the St Barnabas drop off first, 4 boxes this time. We are getting to be regulars, as the volunteers working there recognise us.

We met this little man near the Cornhill Quarter, as we ticked the errands of the list and we were doing well. A visit to a bank to make an appointment to discuss our accounts was frustrating. 20 minutes to get to the front of the queue, to be told that they didn’t have any appointments in the foreseeable future and just come back sometime and they would see if there there was anyone free to help us!!!

0 out of 10 for customer services. We have banked with them for about 20+ years, but not for much longer. We also use another bank which B has used for nearly 60 years who will get all of our business.

I was a tired, hungry, thirsty and annoyed old bird by the time we got back onto the High St, so we headed to the Angel Coffee House for one of their delicious sandwiches and coffee. A pic in extras of ‘Kev’s secret Chickpea tuna mix and vegan cheese toasted in between two slices of Welbeck’s sourdough’.
The shared sandwich was sufficient, so the cake was put in a box and taken home.

Things picked up from then on and the rest of the jobs were successful. Thank goodness.
