Behold my current garden!!
It is beautiful.
I was in the process of removing the netting on Summer Gold when I was faced with the bird depravations and stopped! I hope leaves still grow later in the season. I feel goofy not knowing. 

Sometimes I get invited to cool things, like breakfast at an ambassador’s residence, not because I’m so cool, but because I’m available and have nothing better to do. 

The red bleeding hearts have started to come out. I still have daffodils and hellebores. The hostas are beginning to pop up. It is amazing how many inches some plants can grow in just one day. 

The father who escaped house arrest right before the verdict - his case had drew media attention and criticism from rights groups.  Now even some Russian hard-liners are expressing misgivings about the severe nature of the case. Even the founder of the Wagner group is opposed! 


Spain will send the first six  of 10 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine in April.
I’m sure I could find more good news, but I’m off to have dinner with a friend.
