Friends

I’ve been busy having a lovely time recently. And it started with a surprise party arranged by his wife for my friend Chris.
Chris and I first met at school aged 11, 57 years ago. We were inseparable as we grew up and have both ended up in the North East of England, now in retirement. Chris has just retired as an NHS consultant. I retired in 2017. Hopefully we’ll see more of each other now. We were best man for each other. Chris and Pat have been married for nearly 39 years and Fiona and I for 35 years.
Chris wasn’t expecting his two sons, his daughter-in-law and me all turning up for a fabulous dinner. Fiona was recovering from an eye operation so couldn’t join us.
