Motorway Detritus

Our two canine guests were duly returned home this morning and we have put our house back to normal! Peace has descended once more!

I found this traffic cone lamp lying in a piece of hedgerow alongside the motorway. I did have to scramble into the bushes to retrieve it and stand it up to photograph it.

It had been thrown a little way off the carriageway down an embankment - not sure exactly how it ended up where it did! I think it unlikely that the traffic management contractors tossed it away as I bet they are not cheap to buy! More likely (perhaps) to have been ejected after an impact from a vehicle striking the cones!
