A Double Drop
We had a bit of a long walk day.
We went to Skipton this morning and after a hearty breakfast at Wetherspoon’s..(with coffee, not Stella I hasten to add) we set off on a trek along the canal to Gargrave..a distance of just over 5 miles.
On the way we stopped to watch these two narrowboats descending a lock..quite fun to see.
At Gargrave we partook of refreshments in a tearoom and then walked back to Skipton.
A glorious day for walking, it was sunny but not too hot, with a fresh breeze and no rain(!) and we saw loads of wildlife - swans, geese, ducks, cormorants, oystercatchers (not many oysters about!), lapwings, and a redshank!!
There were also loads of lambs in the fields…see extra…
Over 28K steps so far today!!
