A rainy day

Today the weather has been pretty miserable. It was dry for a while this morning but then it started raining and has rained all day. 

We had a short walk with Xena this morning as we had to go to a meeting which was followed by lunch. After lunch we took Xena to the vet for her pre-travel passport checks. The vet has to check her microchip, that her rabies innoculation is current and then deworm her before signing it off in her 'passport' before she travels back to the UK. In the past you had to do this 48 hours before entering the UK, but the rules have since changed and you can now do it up to 5 days before entering the UK which makes it much easier.

The was not much chance for photos today and besides the rain did not make anything look that appealing. This is a view of the mountain peaks from the apartment which were covered in low cloud, but the light momentarily broke through and gave a glimpse of the peaks.

We are making our friends a traditional supper tonight of Nüsslisalat, which is a salad of lambs lettuce with chopped boiled eggs and bacon in it, and then bratwurst and rösti.
