Busy but social

We went to the Parnell Farmer’s Market this morning, but later than usual as we only wanted to buy fruit, something for MrMacD’s lunch and some cheese, as well as saying goodbye to the cheese lady.  MrMacD caught the bus from the market into the city for his last day with the Maritime Museum.  He is very sad to be leaving.

When I got home I had some household chores to do, then a friend called to talk to me about our move, and after that I concentrated on preparing for the move and the trip and the road trip to Oamaru.  We’ve now sketched out a plan for the road trip but need to check with friends and family that the dates are convenient.

We had coffee after MrMacD arrived home, then I spent more time on preparation and MrMacD concocted something for supper using the last vegetables in the vegetable box and the fridge, and a package or two out of the freezer.  It tasted rather good.  We relaxed by catching up with a couple of programmes we’d missed and then started watching Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again, which is really silly but made us laugh, which was probably a good thing.  Unfortunately, it’s made us late going to bed and our clocks go back overnight.  Darn!

I didn’t take any photos all day, so my emergency blip is of suitcases for items we need to have available when we return from our trip, the soft suitcases we’re taking on the trip ready to be filled for the trial pack tomorrow, and the backpacks we’re taking as our “personal” bags.
