[Yet another] EXPO Visit

(1/4/23)
Phew! I'm all caught up with my back blips.

It is the last Sunday in March, which also means it is the last time we will have to leave the flat for Nara to clean it. I took the opportunity to take the car back to Peugeot for Keith to have one last go at fixing the A/c fan problem. Rather than go to Festival City, we waited in the Reception, trying hard not to disturb the only person on duty.

Two hours later, the car was delivered back to us. Keith said he reprogrammed the ECU. It sounds drastic, and I wondered why it hadn't been done before. Let's see if it works. One thing that didn't work driving to Biker's Cafe was the A/c!! Honestly, if it's not one thing, it's another.

Susan and Gladson joined us for lunch. We haven't seen them since 1st January when we watched the firework from their penthouse, so there was plenty of chatter. Towards the end, I suggested a visit to EXPO City. Danny wanted to go back there and see some pavilions if he could. Ramadan timings make it possible to do this as they are now open until 11 PM. Surreal, the water feature, was closed off for an Iftar, so we missed seeing it.

The best thing about this visit was finally going on the Garden in the Sky ride in the daytime. We got some great pictures from it. The new attraction - Stories of the Nations - is finally opened, so G & I bought tickets to that. Each of the 192 countries that participated in the EXPO left one thing behind. These items are now on display in the respective zone in which the pavilion was, so there are three in all. G & I loved perusing through these, remembering them from our visits to the pavilions. I was happily taking pictures using my DSLR until a volunteer said I wasn't allowed to use a "professional" camera. WHAT??!! Fortunately, it was in the last of the three SOTN pavilions. We caught a show in the Al Wasl Dome before departing, leaving Danny behind to peruse Terra on his own. G found out the time of the last train for him. He had an adventure getting back home, having missed it. You live and learn!
