Mamzar

Plans to go to Expo City changed this afternoon. We decided on a drive closer to home and ended up at Mamzar Lagoon. Everything about the afternoon was perfect - time of day, scenery, weather. I'm so pleased we went there. The city council has made huge improvements and has developed the whole area as a fantastic place for families to enjoy, complete with free parking!

We watched the light change from day to dusk to night. Then decided a biryani at home would go down well. I'd forgotten about Saturday night traffic in Karama. We got home in time for dinner but forgot the Dubai World Cup was on. A Japanese horse won $12million for its owner! We only saw the presentation and stunning closing ceremony - complete with a drone show and fireworks.

And in the morning, we all pottered around just doing our own stuff.
