Exciting news

FINALLY the fiber optic cable has been put up along our road! Dan has been waiting about 20 years for fiber optic to reach here. I've been here for 7 and we've both waited for high speed internet to arrive. There has been a lot of work done buy some tireless folks to make this happen.
There has been work going on all over but our location has been held up to get the cable run under the Bagaduce river from Castine to Brooksville, where we live. That has finally happened as well. It was great to see these guys out front this morning. We went out and thanked them for their work. In the blip the main guy is driving the spool of fiber down through our front yard/field. Luckily the area is firm and it worked just fine.
We were sitting here at the end of the day having dinner and we heard a horn toot at us. I looked out and it was the truck heading back after a long day's work.
