New name

At our Palm Sunday services we held a vote on the possible new name for the new congregation which will emerge from the union with 2 other congregations. They held a similar indicative vote today.

We also allowed email/ phone votes for those not able to be present today.

As we will be forming a new congregation from three it was difficult to offer options which contained all or parts of the names of the existing churches. That will be difficult for some who are very attached to their designation. We will need to find other ways to preserve the historical lineage.

For the moment we wait to count all the votes to see if there is a clear preference. As has been commented previously by some, “churchy mcchurchface” will not be an option.
