What to Do With a Dog on a Rainy Day

It's been cold and raining for two days now, typical Portland weather this time of year. I dropped Daughter #1 at the airport, it was sad to say goodbye. Lily dog is very depressed as Jenny is the love of her life and now she is gone. Dog's don't understand
the words, "Jenny will be back again sometime soon". To try and cheer Lily up, I bought her a new raw-hide bone and turned on the TV.

Lily loves to watch television. She is known to watch a full dog movie without moving except for occasional barking at the screen if a dog appears aggressive. She knows the jingles of commercials in which there are dogs and upon hearing the jingle from another room will come in running to view the TV. Tonight she isn't fussy about watching a dog show so she is viewing one of my favorite shows, International House Hunting. She dreams about the day that she lived in a house with a yard for the first two years of her life before becoming a condo dog. Such a sad, rainy dog day afternoon.
