Rhododendron
Today's the day ....................... for acid-loving
I forgot to say yesterday when I was waxing lyrical about spring flowers, that these beauties have just started opening in the garden.
Having lived for almost thirty years with a lime-rich soil that wasn't very good for acid-loving plants, it's a bit of a treat now to have a garden full of plants like rhododendrons, camellias and azaleas. This one, with just a hint of palest pink, is always the first one to open.
I always think it's the flower version of a raspberry-ripple ice-cream .....................!
