The early bird catches the worm.

I was n't going to put a bird on here today but this lovely male blackbird jumped on the fence with a mouth full of worms.It must have some hungry chicks somewhere and today they will be well fed.
The benefit of yesterdays weather means that the soil is soft so they are able to get the worms and other slimy creatures with ease. This time last year in the SOUTH the ground was so dry that birds were suffering from lack of food not being able to penetrate the baked ground.

Todays new visitor was a thrush.Todays weather changeable!
