Tiny Tuesday ...

... Linda's Toad!

Our neighbor loves her American toads and has several ponds in which they dwell.  We see her out there looking for them quite often but there hasn't been any surface yet this year.

Until today!  I was in the backyard photographing the squirrels (like I do everyday!) when R came out to tell me he was going up for lunch.  Then he said, "Is that one of Linda's toads singing?"  

We quickly ran over to her yard to check out the one pond and there he was!  Sitting right up on a rock ... singing away trying to attract the females.  Linda wasn't home at the time but we saw her after we returned from our lunchtime walk.  By this time she had also noticed (and heard) him.  To say she was excited about his return is an understatement.  As I said ... she loooooves her toads.

Although he might not be super tiny but he does sport lots of tiny circles.  Thanks to Mary for hosting Tiny Tuesday this month.  Please have a look full screen.
