Silk

Hildasrose , Mrs Steveng and Mrs Chrispybox and I went to investigate Beckford silk mill today. They don’t actually make the silk there but they design the patterns and screen print the beautiful hand drawn designs onto the silk for selling by the metre or for making scarves etc. They make a lot of items which are sold in gift  shops all around the country for example the V and A museum and Buckingham Palace.
They sell scarves and fabrics and bags of scraps of silk and seconds of printed panels which we all bought to make our own scarves. I might or might not blip the results of my efforts at some future point.
There’s a lovely cafe on the site too, where we seemed to spend quite a lot of time.
The extra shows some other things on sale and some old printing blocks .
