A no good, very bad day
Sylvie's nails were not clipped today because I lost track of time and didn't give her the gabapentin in time for it to work. So we've rescheduled for two and a half weeks from now. Sylvie and I will just have to keep our distance until then.
Later in the day I had an appointment at my GP's office and headed out in order to get there on time. Except that I got confused and headed for the Polyclinic instead. I was nearly there when I realized that wasn't where I was supposed to be going. I managed to turn into the Northgate parking lot to call and let them know I would be late. I was on the phone for 15 minutes trying to get to talk to an actual person, but had no luck. So I headed to the Northwest Outpatient Clinic, which is on the other side of the freeway. At this point it was raining heavily. But I got there and explained what had happened, only to discover that I'd been given the wrong time for the appointment and I wasn't actually late. I got my treatment after all, but the stress of trying to get there was awful.
Two consequential Senior Moments in one day is too much for one person to take. I'm exhausted. And it's still raining, as you can see from this view out my window, and will be raining all day tomorrow, so no visit to the Shoreline cherry trees.
I do hope all of your had a good, very nice day.
