The reason I have been getting way behind lately is because Himself is going through major health issues.
    
In the past six weeks he's been admitted to hospital with Chronic Erosive Gastritis  (bleeding in the stomach) - that was in Egypt, he's had a bowel cancer scare (thankfully a CT colonoscopy last Tuesday revealed some smaller issues. not cancer) and he's now been diagnosed with Vascular Dementia following on from the strokes he suffered a couple of years ago.

All in all a lot to take in for both of us.   
I've shed tears, he's been angry.  
We'll get through it whatever it takes - I've put up with him (and he with me) for almost 40 years - we're not giving up now.

I've mentioned this before but he's never been completely well since he came back from the Gulf War (Desert Storm/Op Granby) in 1991 - it started with stomach cancer and just gradually went downhill from there.

We use the old saying  " It is what it is "  and take it each day, week, month at a time.

I found my practical, coping head on a shelf in the cupboard and have put it on ..... let's hope it's still in working order!!!  :o))
