Stillness Speaks

My Mom

Going through some old papers and found this article from 1967 about my Mom who taught cooking and in 1967 came out with her first little cook book, The Everyday Gourmet. It's fun to see the backgrounds of the photos of the house we lived in at the time. It's also weird that they referred to her under one of the photos as Mrs. Herbert Elion. She was a Ms. and a women's libber and activist. She marched with Martin Luther King in Washington in the 1960s.
