Lincoln university

Another absolutely awesome few hours this morning with three very diverse and inspirational speakers -

Shelley Harvey, she inspired us yesterday with her creative styled portraiture which I loved so much, today that continued with her presentation on nude photography.  Amazing work, such a enthusiastic presenter.
Helen McLeod - she gave her second presentation this morning, one I enjoyed more today than her yesterdays one.  Such a clever photoshop user.  Inspiring work
Steve Atwood - he was our leader yesterday when we went on the birding field trip. As mentioned yesterday there weren’t any birds, but his knowledge of other environmental things along the beach and within the sand dunes was immense. He gave a very good presentation, he is an incredible bird photographer, runs his own business and workshops/field trips. Brilliant, helping with camera gear and the in camera settings.  He doesn’t use editing software.
Katherine Williams and Tony Carter  - These two presented together yesterday morning (I wrote about them in my blip yesterday) and their photography totally blew me away.  Please take a look at their links.  They have numerous (like lots and lots) of awards both here and internationally.

The morning  finished around 12.30 pm after our president of the Photographic Society of NZ said a few words.
An awesome couple of days, filled with inspirational speakers, meeting with friends and making new ones.  I would strongly recommend attending such an event if the opportunity arose.

My blip was taken early this morning, before the door to our building was unlocked.
Ivey Hall was the original teaching, administration and residential building on the Lincoln campus. The foundation date, 1878, can be seen above the main entrance, and the well worn step beneath attests to the hall's constant use over the years since then. Saved from demolition as an earthquake risk back in 1970 the building went through a complete internal renewal and external strengthening and cleaning.  Since 1988 is has been the universities library with further additions and refurbishments since then. I was attracted to the beautiful facade which was looking splendid in the early morning sunlight.

I came away with numerous certificates from the digital Salon….Open - two honours, two acceptances, Nature - three acceptances, Portraiture - two acceptances.
Three not accepted, very happy with that!
