The first to flower….

Autumn and this lovely white camellia has taken the plunge and burst into flower. It is growing in a camellia hedge belonging to friends not far from here. The weather today was so much better than yesterday’s cloud cover and cold winds. Cloudy to start with but then they cleared and we had sunshine for a few hours. A boon for all at the AirShow, the public and participants. Really cool vintage planes flitting across the skies.
Margaret has returned to Wellington and Steve and Ian have headed off to Nelson where the weather is expected to be foul with very heavy rain and strong winds.
