Buck's Back
A beautifully sunny Easter Sunday. I saw five butterfly species on the wing, including my first small tortoiseshell, speckled wood and white of 2023.
I often see this muntjac buck. I like that his sharp canine tooth can just be seen. These deer use their teeth as weapons in fights rather than their little antlers.
So pleased to see Marla and the grey mare out to grass at last after being stuck in the barn since Christmas. Sad that Ollie dog isn't with me to greet them. :(
