Good Friday

This week has been quite moving and engaging from a church perspective. Katie who leads the church is keen on devoting effort to celebrating ‘The Holiest Week.’ As a result we had Palm Sunday special service (see BGLeyna’s blip) and then on Maunday Thursday tables were set up for soup and bread as we re-imagined the last supper. This photo was from Good Friday when 7 readings were interspersed with songs. The readings were based on 7 things Jesus said the day he died and as the people read each reading a candle was extinguished until we were all left in the dark for a time of silent contemplation. It really brought the story home and when I get a chance I will post a pic of the Sunrise Service on Sunday.
