Easter table
Another lovely day which meant we could eat with the doors open during lunch. I cooked a slow cooked leg lamb from Sarah Raven which was a bit nerve wracking, two days marinating and then 5 hours cooking, but it was delicious even if the surrounding veg it was cooked on were obliterated. Wasn’t quite sure how to serve it but with veggies at the table too we did a mix of roast new potatoes, a big salad and Sue brought a goat’s cheese tart. Made the pistachio cake Sarah made from Persiana for pudding as i always think something a bit Middle Eastern right for the season.
Any hoo. Sorry for the menu details but it’s always useful looking back. We had a good crowd as you can see, including Rory and a friend of his Erica.
B and the babies went off at around 4 and then some of us went for a good walk up in the woods which certainly cleared the cobwebs as the clouds rolled in and the weather got cooler. J&S left around 7 and it was lovely sitting around with R and Erica chatting for the evening.
