Late this afternoon, I was impressed by the light of the setting sun shining through the leaves of a Banksia robusta plant in parkland nearby. This is one of five species of Banksias collected by Joseph Banks and his Swedish colleague Daniel Solander in 1770 on the east coast of Australia.
