Opening weekend of the season for the perennial MMEC who were running train this afternoon. The morning rain must have deterred many people for visiting the park as there were few people about.

Apart from one or two sharp showers this afternoon was rather better and the sun shining brightly this evening, bringing a fine end to what started as an undistinguished morning.

This might have been an even more appealing photo had the driver not worn his hi-viz jacket. Super powerful loco though.
