Better late than never

What a deteriorating day. Beautiful blue skies this morning, heavy showers by lunchtime and a thin cold rain this evening.

It put paid to going to the allotment, I’ve never been so late getting spuds in or sowing that first row of parsnips and beetroot.

Instead I cooked the filling for a humongous cottage pie for family from Scotland who are visiting us, mainly to see Doreen, on their world tour of England.

Susan sowed some seeds this morning while I was at a Marmites Rehearsal. Looking forward to our first performance on 23rd April at the launch of Plastic Free Tenterden’s Fun Day on our railway.

It’s an important initiative which has grown from the Surfers against Sewage charity. As part of the railway’s sustainability policy we’re partnering with local community organisations with similar aims.

Today’s blip is a bit desperate. I was bereft of ideas until we passed this rather damp but still beautiful remnant of Easter.
