Waste not

Firstly, a heartfelt "thank you" for all the kind and thoughtful comments on yesterday's special day, you're a lovely bunch.

From the twelve 4.8m lengths of 8"x2" delivered last Autumn there are now just scraps of kindling left. As ever when the urge to repurpose and reuse takes hold I often think it might well have been cheaper in time and energy to just ignore the spare wood, but where would be the satisfaction in that?
