The after party

See the extras for the after party and for the before shot (courtesy of Mr A). We went along to Shandwick Beach this evening for LJ's 100th swim. On the 100th day of the year. Yes, indeed. LJ has dipped in the North Sea every day this year so far, and is planning a 365. We are expecting big things on 31 December.... Blippers know about these sorts of obsessions. In this case, a separate messenger group had allowed the organisation of both a posse of swimmers to celebrate with LJ and an after party in dryrobes, with warm drinks, sweet snacks and bunches of flowers. The light was amazing - picking out numerous wind farms over the other side of the Moray firth. It was also incredibly cold - not because the air was that cold, but because of a wind chill factor.

We were busy before that. An early morning jaunt down to B&Q in Inverness to collect a storage box for the garden (for garden tools, mainly, to stop them cluttering up our back vestibule), then lunch with JG, our neighbour, which was excellent and very informative on this and that. After that, we had a surprise visit from SM who was randomly visiting the area from Copenhagen and had come to see the funeral director in Tain for family matters....so messaged me on the off chance. The people who pass through Tain, or who have connections there....

And then, finally, the sea. Always the headline event in any day where it features.
