2023 Friday — Good?

I have always thought that Good Friday seems like the wrong title. This season I have heard it’s definition several times. One pastor explained that “good” meant “holy.” Another explained that “good” meant God. Both seem reasonable.

I’m thankful for Jesus. For His sacrifice for me. I’m thankful that I realized the difference between religion and relationship. I’m thankful for my stepdad “Pops” giving me an upbringing in the Lutheran church but then I’m thankful I learned as an adult that all the religious activity is not as important as a personal relationship with Jesus.

I’m thankful for Good Friday,
