Nineteen Days Until Summer

This morning we walked around Bear Lake -- in falling snow!

Snow mounds still punctuate the hillsides here at 9,475 feet, and in some areas on the trail around the lake the snow pack was at least four feet deep. Had to be very careful about foot placement so as not to slide down the snow and into the lake! I'm sure if that happened I would have discovered the true meaning of "cold and refreshing."

I did offer Randall a dollar to take his boots off and put his feet in the water. His response? "You're going to have to sweeten that pot just a little more." I think the starting bid he would consider was $25.

He drives a hard bargain, that man.
