Columbine

Bitterly cold for May, with rain, hail, sunny spells and a fresh northerly wind. We should have been visiting our rail-side site again, but the weather was just too bad, so I had a welcome day at home catching up with identifications and data entry. This columbine comes up every year on the patio, and today I snatched a quick shot in between the heavy showers. Another bad day for weather tomorrow - and then fieldwork must recommence - as otherwise I'll run out of days. I'm already slipping behind on my schedule!!
